This watercolor won it's title "Nature Calls" in a competition that was held on my Facebook page "Julie Senf Art". I enjoy doing artwork that has a little bit of irony in it to peak the imagination. How often do you see the mix of a frog in a birdhouse which is an outhouse with morning glory attracting the bees? I hope you enjoy and thank you for viewing!
Imagination & Creativity see what can be from what there is! So much detail and emotion can be portrayed on a piece of paper by the use of a simple pencil...adding color makes it absolutely magical! It was when I became an "empty nester" that I discovered the time to enter the creative side of my brain and let it emerge. It has been a wonderful time of discovery and with the encouragement of family and friends I have ventured out to share my art with others. Julie, you've combined several of my all time favorite things in this wonderful work of art!!! We have been growing morning glories, both the wild white ones that came with the property, and the beautiful blue / purple ones that are so eye catching, for many years. Add to them, your darling froggie is completely darling ... every summer I spend June, July and August mornings scooping the little cuties out of the pool!!! And of coruse, your bluebird box, so cleverly decorated to look like an outhouse just brings a big smile!!! Great, great creativity and imagination ... and beautiful tones and art!!!!
