"All Rows Lead to the Olympics" is a watercolor painting I made for the 22nd annual Sequim Lavender Festival that is held every year in Sequim, Washington. For more than two decades, Sequim and the surrounding Dungeness Valley have been internationally recognized as the premier growers of this fragrant herb. Family-owned farms are prized for the special attention they give to growing the finest lavender in the country. Sequim is bursting with activity during this three day celebration of everything lavender the third weekend in July. The world class street fair, lavender farm festivals and events, and a host of community events make the Sequim Lavender Weekend one of the biggest lavender celebrations in the country.
Imagination & Creativity see what can be from what there is! So much detail and emotion can be portrayed on a piece of paper by the use of a simple pencil...adding color makes it absolutely magical! It was when I became an "empty nester" that I discovered the time to enter the creative side of my brain and let it emerge. It has been a wonderful time of discovery and with the encouragement of family and friends I have ventured out to share my art with others. I find great joy when someone connects with and enjoys one of my art pieces. Follow me on Facebook and to follow my latest projects in the works Julie Senf Art
